Baptist Regional Medical Center offers an HIV self-study program for podiatrists, chiropractors, dentists and dental hygienists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, advance R.N. practitioners,

pharmacists, optometrists, physical therapists and medical lab professionals.
Developed by
Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, the video program is approved by the Kentucky Cabinet of Human Services for two hours of continuing education on HIV and AIDS as mandated by Kentucky House Bill 425. The program is current through June 1999.
Topics included are epidemiology, testing and counseling issues, medical prognosis and treatment, legal issues, infection control practices, resources available and personal concerns of a health care provider. An interview with an individual who has tested positive for HIV is also included.
The program is $10 for employees $15 for non-employees.
