Women and Children's Health Services

• Family-centered maternity care, offered through The Birthing Center;
• A prenatal clinic provided by the Whitley County Health Department;
• Inpatient medical and surgical care for women with breast and gynecological problems;
• Breast diagnostic services to provide early diagnosis of breast cancer and aid in the evaluation of breast lumps;
• a Pediatric Wing to serve children from infancy to age 16 who need medical and surgical care. Parents are strongly urged to stay with their child during treatment and to participate in his or her care, thus lessening their child's stress and fear of beinghospitalized;
• a Volunteer Grandparent program, provided by our Volunteer Services Department to give our youngest patients extra TLC;
• Pediatric rehabilitation services for children with developmental delays, learning disabilities and other problems;
• Birthing Center Classes, including an Early Prenatal Class, Breastfeeding Class, Sibling Class, Prenatal Class, and a Refresher Course for those who have previously had children;
• Germbusters, a community program which teaches children good handwashing habits; and
• Seminars on health topics of special interest to women, offered in the spring and fall.
