This test is used to produce pictures of the heart in motion.  These images are obtained to diagnose abnormalities of the heart valves and heart muscle.

Instructions to the Patient
Access to the chest is required, so please wear clothing that can be easily removed from the waist up.  A gown will be provided for patient dignity.

Additional Information
The procedure is virtually painless.  The exam takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
