Infusion Therapy Clinic
The Infusion Therapy Clinic is located on the third floor of the Medical Office Building, Suite 301. The Infusion Clinic opened its doors to serve several purposes. Centralizing the location of all infusions and injections ensures the consistent continuity of care for patients and their families. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Extending our hours of service has greatly increased customer satisfaction. The patient can receive their entire treatment in one place and not have to be moved to a different floor when the unit closes. In the first seven days of opening, the unit averaged sixteen procedures per day. Our extended hours of service have also enabled Baptist Health Corbin to open more beds for inpatient care. Our services will also help decrease the length of stay for some inpatients. Patients can be discharged home and can come in as outpatients for long-term therapies such as antibiotics and anticoagulants.
There are three treatment rooms and an open infusion room with four recliners to accommodate patients. One room is used for EEG’S. For the comfort of the patient we have stretchers and reclining infusion chairs. Patients have reported better comfort. Two rooms are equipped with remote controlled televisions. There is a large waiting area also equipped with a television. Our services include infusions, injections, blood and blood product transfusions, PICC line insertions, and inpatient and outpatient EEG’s.
